Nicklaus has now been the course architect to over 150 courses throughout the world but Nicklaus North is one of only 5 courses allowed to use the Golden Bear’s Prestigous name.

Whistler is already blessed with some incredible golf with the highly-rated Big Sky and Fairmont Chateau courses right on your doorstep.  However, Nicklaus North takes your golf experience to a  whole new level with its superb conditions, stunning panoramic views of majestic snow-capped mountains, Huge fir trees, and glistening lakes.

The Nicklaus North Golf and Country Club course is situated in Whistler Valley, just five minutes from the Whistler Resort in British Columbia. It is located in a spectacular setting only a two-hour drive north of Vancouver. Driving away from the city to Whistler is a wonderful experience in itself as the route takes you through the huge Mountain ranges and incredible scenery to your stunning destination.

The Nicklaus North course is fun to play with risk and reward possibilities on almost every tee. In traditional Nicklaus fashion, the course has generous landing areas on the fairway. Short hitters who keep it on the short stuff will find themself’s with long approaches into well-protected large greens. The green sizes are generous and putts roll fast and true.   Bigger Hitters will have the option to take the Vegas or Bust route over the water and or fairway bunkers to leave a short club into the green.  Typical of Nicklaus golf courses you will have a lot of fun but you will need to hit the correct shot in order to score.

Nicklaus North is walkable thanks to seamless routing and superb conditions.  The course lies at the bottom of the Mountain as is surprisingly flat.  Remember your camera for the scenic views and bird sanctuary that borders the course.

The Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Course is the quintessential Canadian Golf Experience.  The stunning course was sculpted out of the sloping hillsides of the Coast Mountain Range. Distractions here are the stunning Mountains which surround you and the dramatic elevation changes.

Fairmont has developed their worldwide Golf Portfolio with beautiful golf courses at some of the world’s Top go-to golf destinations.  In addition to Whistler they also have top class courses in Canada at Banff Springs and Jasper Park Lodge.  Outside of Canada Fairmont St Andrews in Scotland refently staged the Scottish Professional Championship’s which was a European Tour event at the wonderful Torrance course.

Acclaimed Golf Course designer Robert Trent Jones Jr. produced a world-class layout that takes the golfer on a spectacular journey.  Expect to cross ravines, creeks, and waterfalls as you walk Douglas firs lined fairways with random outcroppings of exposed granite rock.   Your golf adventure will also include many stunning elevation changes some as much as 400 feet!.  Jone’s course layout follows the natural contours of the rugged terrain, creating a golf course that blends seamlessly into the whistler landscape. This deep mountain terrain thrives with an abundance of wildlife.  You can expect to see many deer, a few black bears, and a great variety of indigenous birds.

The generous fairways at Whistler are lined with trees and deep bunkers are strategically placed throughout. One of Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club’s most notable holes is the par-3 eighth.  elevated tee looks down to the green which has a granite outcrop to the right and a lake to the front and left with a large bunker between putting surface and water – now is the perfect photo opportunity if you have remembered to bring your camera!

Gallagher’s Canyon Championship Golf Course is a classic Canadian Mountain Golf resort.  This golf oasis is framed by forested mountains, miles of orchards and Vineyards, and sits on a magnificent parcel of land high above Kelowna.
