Fairmont has developed their worldwide Golf Portfolio with beautiful golf courses at some of the world’s Top go-to golf destinations.  In addition to Whistler they also have top class courses in Canada at Banff Springs and Jasper Park Lodge.  Outside of Canada Fairmont St Andrews in Scotland refently staged the Scottish Professional Championship’s which was a European Tour event at the wonderful Torrance course.

Acclaimed Golf Course designer Robert Trent Jones Jr. produced a world-class layout that takes the golfer on a spectacular journey.  Expect to cross ravines, creeks, and waterfalls as you walk Douglas firs lined fairways with random outcroppings of exposed granite rock.   Your golf adventure will also include many stunning elevation changes some as much as 400 feet!.  Jone’s course layout follows the natural contours of the rugged terrain, creating a golf course that blends seamlessly into the whistler landscape. This deep mountain terrain thrives with an abundance of wildlife.  You can expect to see many deer, a few black bears, and a great variety of indigenous birds.

The generous fairways at Whistler are lined with trees and deep bunkers are strategically placed throughout. One of Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club’s most notable holes is the par-3 eighth.  elevated tee looks down to the green which has a granite outcrop to the right and a lake to the front and left with a large bunker between putting surface and water – now is the perfect photo opportunity if you have remembered to bring your camera!
